We are seeking an Accountant to support our Field Services division, handling project setup and closeout alongside bi‑weekly payroll in a fast‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTrack and manage project costs and revenue for multiple government contracts using Deltek Costpoint 8.2Prepare and submit timely and accurate invoices in accordance with purchase order termsPartner with Field Services Program Managers to complete projects from start to finish and maintain documentationMonitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure prompt resolutionSupport month‑end close by preparing journal entries and reconciling accountsProcess bi‑weekly payroll through ADP WorkForceNow, ensuring compliance with California labor lawsReview and validate employee timecards weekly; resolve discrepancies with supervisorsMaintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial and personnel dataContribute to ad‑hoc projects and cross‑functional initiatives as neededRequired Skills and QualificationsStrong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent communication skills—both written and verbalAbility to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholdersKnowledge of payroll processes, wage and hour laws, and internal controlsFamiliarity with federal and state labor regulationsDeadline‑driven with a proactive approach to problem‑solvingEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma required; bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred1–3 years of experience in accounting and payrollExperience with Deltek Costpoint highly preferredSolid understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and the MS Office SuiteQuick learner with the ability to adapt to new software and systemsPhysical and Work EnvironmentOffice‑based role with prolonged periods of sitting and computer useRepetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and fingersStandard business hours with occasional flexibility based on project needsOccasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds, such as files, office supplies, or small equipmentAbility to navigate office spaces, attend in‑person meetings, and interact with team members across departmentsMay require extended hours during peak periods such as month‑end close or payroll processingVisual acuity required for reviewing detailed financial documents and spreadsheetsAbility to maintain focus and productivity in a deadline‑driven environmentBenefitsWe are committed to supporting our employees with a competitive and well‑rounded benefits package.
