We're working with a growing San Antonio company that's adding a Project Accountant to the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved in both the accounting and operational side of the business.

In this role, you'll have visibility into projects from start to finish, partnering closely with Project Managers and leadership while helping keep project financials accurate and on track. What You'll Be Doing

• 
  
• Manage project setup, billing, invoicing, and contract changes
• 
  
• Review contracts and proposals to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
• 
  
• Prepare monthly client invoices and resolve billing questions
• 
  
• Track project costs, budgets, and revenue throughout the project lifecycle
• 
  
• Monitor labor, materials, and other job costs
• 
  
• Analyze project financial performance and investigate variances
• 
  
• Maintain project accounting records and reporting
• 
  
• Assist with project forecasting and budgeting activities
• 
  
• Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
• 
  
• Process vendor and consultant invoices and allocate costs appropriately
• 
  
• Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entries
• 
  
• Prepare reports and financial analysis for leadership
• 
  
• Partner with Project Managers to help projects stay financially on track
• 
  
• Participate in project meetings and provide financial updates as needed
• 
  

What They're Looking For

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 
  
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a project-based, construction, engineering, or professional services environment
• 
  
• Experience with project billing, contract review, and job costing
• 
  
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions
• 
  
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• 
  
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
•
