Key Responsibilities for the Project Accountant:

• 
  
• Set up new projects in the accounting system and maintain contract documents, change orders, and client approvals
• 
  
• Recognize revenue, work-in-process, and gross profit for assigned projects, including month-end close tasks like job cost accruals and WIP adjustments
• 
  
• Monitor project progress and partner with project management on billing, cost tracking, and profitability
• 
  
• Create and manage project-related purchase orders, and prepare/review customer billings in line with contract terms
• 
  
• Support accounts receivable and collections efforts as needed
• 
  

Qualifications for the Project Accountant:

• 
  
• 2+ years of project accounting experience, ideally within construction
• 
  
• Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition, including multi-price contracts.
• 
  
• Comfortable working with operations teams across multiple locations.
•
