Job Description

Naval Nuclear Laboratory has an excellent opportunity for a Project Analyst (PA) within Reactor Servicing (RS). The PA in the Spent Fuel Integration and Controls unit will be part of a dynamic team and have exposure to complex, multi-disciplinary projects and work efforts across the RS portfolio in support of delivering products and continued development of our program management infrastructure. The selected candidate should have strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, and experience developing and managing budget profiles and project schedules. The candidate will need to prepare various project performance reports including but not limited to: A3 project assessments, monthly/semi-annual project performance metrics, budget and resource profiles, project schedules, and procurement project plans. We are looking for an energetic individual that is passionate about project management and being part of an organization that uses project management principles to support the RS mission. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 

  • Review and maintain budget and resource profiles for the RS Portfolio WBS Dictionary
  • Develop and maintain project integrated master schedules for hardware or process development
  • Directly support PMs and line management on a variety of challenges
  • Engage with our Project Managers, Business Professionals, Software Developers, and Technical Managers to:
    • Provide project financial analysis and support.
    • Provide project planning and scheduling.
    • Manage budget resources and procurement project plans.
    • Measure budget performance.
    • Coordinate and integrate project team efforts.
    • Provide insight, help set priorities, and identify risks to project progress.
    • Generate insightful, informative performance metrics.
    • Determine innovative yet simple project tracking measures.
    • Contribute to the tools and techniques used to manage our business.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (O365, Teams, SharePoint, MS Project, MS Planner, Excel).
  • Experience facilitating large meetings with leadership. 
  • Experience generating and maintaining financial, budget, and resource profiles.
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively to various audiences.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.

Pay Range

$70,900.00 - $108,500.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
