Program Manager Tech 4 - Web Operations & Product Launches (Surface, Windows, Copilot)

Location: Remote (flexible within ±2-3 hours of PST)

Team: Web Strategy & Integrated Marketing

Duration: Contract

Role Overview

The Web Strategy & Integrated Marketing team manages and maintains Microsoft's flagship web properties-including Surface.com, Windows.com, and Copilot-and drives execution for high‑volume product launches and marketing campaigns.

As a Program Manager Tech 4, you will lead complex digital projects, orchestrate cross‑functional delivery, and ensure operational rigor across web production workflows. This role is ideal for a seasoned PM who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys working across marketing, engineering, and design, and wants to contribute to some of Microsoft's most visible product moments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end project management for product launches, campaigns, and web initiatives, including workback schedules, dependency tracking, risk mitigation, and launch readiness (QA, go/no‑go).
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, analytics, and external vendors to ensure aligned execution and timely delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence by supporting rollout and administration of standardized processes, templates, SLAs, and launch playbooks.
  • Manage web production workflows, ensuring accessibility, privacy, compliance, and quality standards are met through structured review cycles and governance processes.
  • Oversee intake, ticketing, and CMS‑related workflows, ensuring smooth execution across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Maintain clear, proactive stakeholder communication, providing status updates, risk visibility, and alignment across teams.

Typical Day Breakdown

  • 30% - Project Planning & Tracking Building workback schedules, managing dependencies, updating project tools, and monitoring progress.
  • 30% - Cross‑Functional Coordination Partnering with engineering, design, marketing, and vendor teams; facilitating meetings; ensuring alignment.
  • 20% - Execution & Delivery Driving tasks to completion, supporting web production, and ensuring launch readiness.
  • 20% - Quality, Process, & Administration Conducting QA, validating processes, managing documentation, and supporting operational rigor.

Required Qualifications (Top 3 Must‑Have Skills)

  • 8-10 years of technical web project/program management experience Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder digital projects end‑to‑end.
  • 8-10 years of stakeholder & communication management Proven success working across cross‑functional teams in fast‑paced environments.
  • 8-10 years supporting integrated marketing campaigns or web operations Experience with CMS workflows, web production processes, and digital marketing execution.

Additional Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Experience with CMS systems, web design workflows, accessibility standards, and QA processes.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, ClickUp, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Ability to manage intake systems, ticketing workflows, and cross‑channel marketing coordination.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder‑management skills.
