Project Architect - Milwaukee, WI
About the Firm
This is a privately owned, award-winning architectural firm in Milwaukee with a reputation built on design quality and technical rigor. The team is small by design. The work reflects it. They are knownin the local market for delivering thoughtful, well-executed projects and have the recognition to back it up.
The Role
This is not a role where you do one phase and hand it off. You own the project - from early design conversations with the client through construction administration. That means you are part of the decisions that shape the building, and you are there when it gets built.
Responsibilities include:
Leading projects from concept and schematic design through design development and construction documents
Managing the bidding and permitting process
Conducting construction administration, including site visits, RFI responses, and contractor coordination
Direct client interaction throughout the project lifecycle
Producing and reviewing detailed construction documents in Revit
Collaborating closely with firm leadership and contributing to design decisions at every phase
Requirements
Licensed Architect or candidate in the licensure process preferred
Proficiency in Revit - this is a technically demanding environment and Revit fluency is not optional
Experience across multiple phases of architectural project delivery
Strong communication skills; clients interact with you directly
Someone who wants ownership, not just assignment
Why This Role
Full project lifecycle exposure - concept through construction, every time
Direct mentorship from the firm's owner, a highly technical and accomplished architect
A culture that invests in its people - team recognition, firm events, a close-knit environment
Work that reflects the quality of the people producing it
An award-winning firm with a strong local reputation
