Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project cost tracking, budget/ forecast and earned value reporting for the assigned project.
  • Works closely with field engineers, project managers and project directors to maintain accurate cost performance reporting data and support decision-making.
  • Develops and maintains cost code structure in accordance with Earned Value Measurement System.
  • Calculates earned value metrics (EV, PV, AC) and performance indices (CPI, SPI) on a monthly basis.
  • Analyzes variances between plan value, earned value and actual cost and reports findings, in coordination with AFC Manager.
  • Reconciles cost data between field reports, purchase orders, and accounting systems.
  • Monitors procurement commitments and expenditures in JD Edwards.
  • Assists with evaluation and pricing of change orders.
  • Assists in preparing and updating cost reports, forecasts, accruals and cash flow rolling projections using company templates, in coordination with AFC Manager.
  • Prepares the bid reorganization, project budget and forecast in accordance with the agreed Cost Code structure under the supervision of the AFC Manager and Area Cost & Risk Controlling Manager.
  • Identifies potential risks that could lead to cost overruns and supports the project manager/project director in developing mitigation measures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor''s Degree

Employment Conditions: 2 years of experience in cost control, with exposure to EVM concepts, Proficient in Excel, Experience with JD Edwards required, Experience with Vision CPM required

Physical Requirements: Employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to use fingers to grasp, move and manipulate small objects. The employee must have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand and understand the speech of another person. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The work environment will consist of low levels of noise (i.e., typical office).
