Every successful project depends on someone who can bring together financial accuracy, operational coordination, and exceptional organization. At Cooper Machinery Services, our Project Controls Analyst is more than a financial support resource—you are a trusted partner who helps ensure projects stay on schedule, on budget, and positioned for success.

In this role, you'll work alongside Project Managers to coordinate multiple concurrent projects, oversee financial milestones, manage SAP project orders, support domestic and international logistics, and provide the operational insight that keeps customers informed and projects moving forward. Your attention to detail directly contributes to successful project execution.

If you're energized by solving problems, managing priorities, collaborating across departments, and making a measurable impact, this is your opportunity.

With roots dating to 1833 and a portfolio of iconic OEM brands — Cooper-Bessemer, Ajax, Superior and more — Cooper supports over 22,000 units in the field globally. This is your opportunity to lead a key chapter of that story.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the operational and financial hub for multiple concurrent customer projects.
  • Manage project financials including purchase orders, invoicing, revenue recognition, and closeout.
  • Maintain SAP project orders and Bills of Materials.
  • Develop Excel reporting and project analysis.
  • Coordinate domestic and international logistics.
  • Maintain project documentation and customer portals.
  • Partner with Project Managers to monitor costs, schedules, and change orders.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Who You Are

  • You bring 7–10 years of experience supporting complex projects in a service, manufacturing, operations, or project environment.
  • You have a strong accounting foundation with experience in project accounting, accounts payable/receivable, cost tracking, invoicing, revenue recognition, or financial reconciliation.
  • You are proficient in SAP and understand project setup, financial controls, and accurate data management.
  • You possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • You communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • You are proactive, organized, and take ownership of your work.
  • You enjoy collaborating across departments while working independently to deliver results.

Preferred

  • Associate's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting international projects and export documentation.
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles and project accounting.
  • Experience in the oil & gas, compression, or industrial equipment industry.
  • Familiarity with change order management and contract compliance.

Why Join Us

  • Most benefits are effective on your first day of employment – no waiting period.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Company-paid life, AD&D, short-term, and long-term disability coverage (6-month short-term disability waiting period).
  • Voluntary life, AD&D, and long term disability buy up plan.
  • Voluntary benefit plans including accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity insurance plans.
  • 401(k) with up to 5% company match, employees are 100% vested on Day 1.
