Description

Job TitleChampion a strong safety culture by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions and behaviors while supporting the organization's goal of zero incidents. Create, maintain, and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), I/O drawings, system documentation, and operating procedures. Troubleshoot process control, automation, and equipment-related issues across production and facility operations. Maintain and upgrade process control hardware, software, computer systems, and industrial networks in alignment with IT/OT standards. Lead and support management-of-change activities for control systems, safety systems, and engineering projects. Manage capital projects involving the installation, modification, or enhancement of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Quality Control Systems (QCS), and other automation platforms. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams to resolve process control issues and support plant reliability. Partner with operations, quality, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and performance improvements. Provide technical support during planned outages, startup activities, and after-hours troubleshooting when required. Employees have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where continuous improvement, technology advancement, and professional growth are valued.The Successful ApplicantEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 2 years of experience in process controls, automation, industrial systems engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills & Competencies: Strong interest in industrial automation, control systems, and computer-based manufacturing technologies. Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and industrial computing environments. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and industrial automation systems. Experience with AutoCAD LT or similar drafting software. Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Quality Control Systems (QCS), defect detection systems, and process instrumentation.
