Project Controls Manager 1

The Project Controls Manager 1 is responsible for the general administration of all Manhattan project controls practices and policies within their region. In this role, the Project Controls Manager is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the operating platform for Manhattan and ensuring all regional projects embrace and incorporate new and existing operational guidelines into everyday performance. This position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, as well as strong communication and customer service skills.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the process of onboarding and training regional operations personnel with regard to systems training
  • Providing ongoing training to enable project teams to operate in accordance with company standards and Manhattan Guiding Principles
  • Providing operational support to the Project Directors and Project Teams
  • Monitoring key performance indicators in various PM systems
  • Monitoring software standards and training for the company
  • Project management system administration
  • Assisting teams in managing standards for general conditions, cash flow tracking, and schedule standards
  • Participating in monthly project status reviews to ensure that projects remain compliant
  • Job cost budget review and approvals within the region
  • Assisting with the project performance review process within the region
  • Working with project accountants and project managers to create and monitor billing forecasts and change management
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and resolve issues with various PM systems
  • Assist in the review and potential rollout of new software
  • Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our guiding principles and exhibiting attributes matching the way we work.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree- construction management, engineering, business, accounting, math or equivalent
  • 8 years of industry experience

Working conditions and physical efforts include:

  • Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
  • Ability to repeat the same movements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
  • Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
  • Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid driver's license).
