Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Project Controls Professional II role supports Nuclear Development projects by delivering schedule and cost development, analysis, reporting, and communication. The position plays a key role in project monitoring, risk identification, and maintaining cost accuracy, while coordinating and executing project estimates. It also supports project managers by applying tools and processes to develop project scope, schedules, and cost estimates, and to perform analysis and control activities. Additionally, the role ensures timely monitoring and reporting of all schedule, scope, and cost changes to project managers and New Nuclear management. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay range: $76.02 - $106.17

Responsibilities:
* Assist with providing financial guidance and analytical support within the Budgets Department.
* Perform budget-to-actual reporting.
* Conduct variance analysis and forecasting.
* Reconcile contingency balances and support project reporting.
* Complete special projects as assigned, including budgeting and monitoring labor-related costs, employee benefits, and overhead allocations.
* Utilize system-generated information and reporting tools such as online journal entries, general ledger systems, Microsoft Power BI, and budget inputs.
* Produce ad hoc reports, including complex budget analysis that identifies trends and explains variances.
* Support the annual budget cycle.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Help prepare and update budget policies, procedures, desk manuals, and training tools.
* Apply accounting and budgeting principles gained through education and experience.
* Interpret and apply Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements.
* Interface with internal managers and supervisors as well as external agencies.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 4 years of experience in a project controls or project management role in an industrial environment; or
* Associate's (AA) degree with at least 6 years of project controls or project management experience; or
* High school diploma or GED with at least 8 years of project controls or project management experience in lieu of a degree
* Formal training in Primavera P6 or another project management system is required
* Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology
* Earned Value Management Certification via the Project Management Institute (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP) desired
* Experience supporting large-scale new construction projects in one or more of the following industries:
* Power generation (combined cycle, LNG, nuclear, renewables)
* Heavy industrial (refineries, water treatment, mining)
* Flex/hybrid (data centers)
* Major manufacturing and production facilities
* Experience in project controls
* Ability to perform detailed variance analysis
* Experience supporting large, complex projects with budgets of $25M or more
