Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Project Controls Professional III is responsible for leading, with minimal supervision, the development, coordination, tracking, and execution of project controls activities for Capital and O&M projects in alignment with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. The role provides technical guidance to project teams; develops and maintains cost and schedule controls; monitors performance, risks, and changes; prepares financial analyses and reports; supports training and governance activities; and drives continuous improvement of Project Controls processes. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay range: $76.02 - $106.17

Responsibilities:
* Providing Project Controls oversight of assigned Capital and O&M projects and adherence to Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
* Facilitating regular and proactive collaboration within the department and with external customers.
* Providing technical direction and support to project managers through regular touchpoints and surveys.
* Developing project cost schedules using appropriate cost estimates and project management tools and processes.
* Monitoring project performance against the baseline schedule by analyzing variances and trends.
* Preparing monthly analyses and financial summaries to support managers and Corporate Finance.
* Developing recommendations for corrective actions to project managers to recover cost and schedule deviations against the established baseline schedule.
* Recommending changes to long-range plans based on current project performance and lessons learned through project controls.
* Ensuring identified risks and opportunities are tracked and monitored using the appropriate tools.
* Understanding process and project change management within the change management process.
* Processing monthly journal entries into the financial system.
* Assisting with the onboarding and training of new Project Controls staff.
* Reviewing journal entries for accuracy prior to posting in the financial system.
* Reviewing baseline changes to ensure adherence to Project Controls procedures and practices.
* Maintaining Project Controls P6 schedule layouts.
* Providing Project Controls and EVM initial and refresher training to project managers and project supervision.
* Working closely with the Project Controls Analysts and reinforcing standards and expectations for both Engineering & Nuclear and Project Controls.
* Reviewing variance explanations to ensure alignment with project controls standards and expectations.
* Coordinating and facilitating monthly Project Status Report (PSR) review meetings with supported project groups.
* Identifying and proposing changes and/or improvements to Project Controls processes.
* Performing special assignments as required and demonstrating leadership qualities through knowledge gained via experience and education.
