Our Summer Internship opportunities are also posted on Handshake.Project Coordinator Intern Learning ObjectivesThe Project Coordinator Intern will work alongside Project Managers in our Solutions Group to assist in the leadership and control of all matters related to an assigned project.Training and Certificates: Procore, Microsoft Project, Standards/Code Reading (ASHRAE, OMC, etc.), Requests for Information (RFI's), BG HVAC 101Project Scheduling: Become familiar with and learn to create Project Schedules using MS ProjectJob Site experience: Review work in place, compare with drawings, communicate with contractors, etc.Job Meetings: Observe and participate in Job Meetings and become familiar with taking meeting notes and preparing meeting minutesReport Writing: Write job site Safety Reports and Daily ReportsCross-Functional Learning – Opportunities to learn about Electrical, Mechanical and Energy EngineeringIn addition to the above, the Intern may also have the opportunity to work with our Project Mangers and Solutions Group team on the following:Bids: Become familiar with and learn to write Bid Specifications, participate in Pre-Bid Meetings, learn to create a Bid Tabulation, participate in a post-bid Scope Review, and learn how to write an Addendum to amend the Bid SpecificationsProject Document Preparation: Learn to write Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Bulletins to modify contract documents, and Proposal/Change Order RequestsTurnover Meeting: Participate in a project turnover meeting where the development team hands off a project to the Engineering and Construction teams.QualificationsJunior and Senior status preferred; Sophomore status will be consideredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with othersPositive attitude and enthusiasm to grow and strengthen skillsAdaptable and willing to learn new thingsTime-management, critical thinking, and writing skillsStrong computer skillsExpectationsBe inquisitiveDemonstrate integrityDevelop self-discipline to work with limited oversightDevelop leadership skills and confidence in your knowledge, skills, and abilities
