Job Responsibilities

  • This is a Temporary Grant position.*

The Agencys mission is to be boldly innovative in improving the health and quality of life for South Carolinians.

This position is located in Process & Artifacts, Richland County.

This is an in-office role and not a telecommute or remote position.

Are you the One? We are looking for a Project Coordinator who, under general supervision, assists with documentations of meeting minutes, meeting scheduling, and other administrative tasks. Performs documentations reviews and updates using industry best practices. Contributes to process discussions and updates of project deliverables.

  • Assists the Process and Artifacts Development Team in documenting processes and procedures for all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for major projects and initiatives at SCDHHS, including Medicaid Systems (Member Management System 100%). Captures meeting minutes and discussions following best industry practices and SCDHHS best practices and procedures. Assits with documenting and adhering to the new processes for Vendor Management for MMS.
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings as needed for the Medicaid Systems Team and Process and Artifact Development Team within a 24 hours of receipt of request (MMS 100%). Assist with knowledge transfer, training sessions, and other presentations as needed for the Process and Artifact Development Team. Schedules the requested meeting following the Member Management System Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) required meeting guidelines 100% of the time. Works with stakeholders (vendors and internal) to schedule meetings to include all the required participants. Documents processes that are new as part of assisting Project Managers and MMS Leadership with vendor management.
  • Attends and participates in conference, webinars/online training and courses that build skills related to job functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of relevant program experience.

An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered with prior State Human Resources approval.

Preferred: Technical writing experience.

  • Knowledge of the agencys mission.
  • General knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the Bureau of Medicaid Systems objectives, systems, and processes.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Ability to make presentations and prepare reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Suite, including Outlook and meeting scheduling best practices.
  • Proficiency in using different tools to scribe and document meetings and team discussions.
  • Ability to capture technical conversations/discussions and appropriately summarize for future use.
