To perform operational support tasks in a warehouse environment. The Department of Asset Management at LSUHS Shreveport has overall responsibility and authority to coordinate and perform property functions as prescribed by L.R.S. Title 39. Under the general supervision of the Property Control Manager and Property Control Specialist, Project Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping and delivery, specifically regarding assets for LSUHS Shreveport. The scope of the movable asset inventory consists of approximately 12,000 items with a total value of more than $95,000,000 located in over 104 buildings across Louisiana. Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Normal hours of work are from 8:00am to 4:30pm and may be adjusted to meet departmental needs. Overtime may be required. Lunch and breaks are dictated by workflow and are per the employee's handbook. Some discretion is required in the performance of these duties. Duties begin to expand in scope and complexity and develop into departmental-program duties. Essential Position Functions & Duties Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the presence of responsibility for clerical duties that involve greater scope and complexity, including initial program duties. Differs from Administrative Coordinator 4 by the absence of paraprofessional duties that involve a higher degree of specialization, complexity, and/or independent judgment. 60%: Complete daily inventory functions which include data entry in various asset management systems such as People Soft and Asset Works. Assist in the planning and completion of all LSUHS Shreveport physical inventory of movable assets/property at various locations. Apply organizational skills associated with maintaining spreadsheets of assets and completing departmental inventory records for reference, research and audit reports. Effectively apply communication techniques with co-workers, staff, faculty and students. Refer complex issues to the Property Control Specialist/Asset Manager. 20%: Organizes, maintains asset management warehouses, coordinates removal of surplus/scrap property with LPAA. Handles all logistics concerning disposal of property. Operates one or more of the following types of equipment as a primary, regular and recurring function of the job: forklifts with lifting capacity over 10,000 lbs. or lift height over 12 feet. Maintains controls of surplus equipment within warehouses and/or prior to disposition to LPAA. Maintains disposal log of surplus, scrap, transferred items. 10%: Recommends the disposition of unused property as encountered throughout LSUHS Shreveport. Acts as liaison between Asset Management and Physical Plant. 10%: Provides training as needed for newly hired staff and performs other duties as required.
