Position Details

• Job Title: Construction Project Scheduler
• Location: Ellsworth AFB - Box Elder, SD

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Create, update, and manage critical path schedules throughout each phase of construction.
• Review subcontractor and vendor schedules and integrate them into the master schedule.
• Monitor actual job progress versus planned milestones and prepare status reports.
• Identify schedule impacts, delays, and cost implications while recommending corrective actions.
• Participate in look-ahead planning meetings and project progress meetings.
• Coordinate scheduling activities with Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, Quality Managers, and the Director of Operations.
• Assist with processing Requests for Information (RFIs) and Change Orders (COs).
• Review customer specifications and construction drawings to determine project requirements.
• Assist in gathering documentation for customer submittals and approvals.
• Track schedule updates across multiple active construction projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction scheduling experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Experience creating and maintaining Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project controls.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and project management teams.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of RFIs, Change Orders, and construction reporting.
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced construction environment.
