We are hiring a Project Coordinator to support a team of Electrical Project Managers on active commercial and industrial construction projects in Lenexa, KS. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on keeping project documentation, schedules, and billing organized across multiple jobs. The ideal Project Coordinator brings strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to project support in the Kansas City metro area.

Key Responsibilities - Construction Project Coordinator
- Process and track submittals, RFIs, and closeout packages for active electrical construction projects. Maintain organized electronic project files and documentation systems.
- Assist Project Managers with change orders, purchase order tracking, and monthly project billing. Flag discrepancies and ensure records are current.
- Coordinate project schedules, job start documentation, and internal meetings. Distribute meeting notes and action items to project teams.
- Track material deliveries and monitor key project milestones against deadlines. Communicate status updates to Project Managers.
- Prepare routine project correspondence, transmittals, and reports. Support administrative needs across multiple concurrent electrical projects.
Qualifications - Construction Project Coordinator
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative or project support role
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications - Construction Project Coordinator
- Prior experience in construction, electrical contracting, or a related trades environment
- Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, construction drawings, and specification documents
- Exposure to project billing, job cost tracking, or purchase order management
- Working knowledge of project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanGrid
- Experience supporting multiple project managers or cross-functional teams
Physical Requirements - Construction Project Coordinator
- Primarily office-based work in a climate-controlled environment
- Extended periods of sitting and computer use
- Occasional visits to active construction job sites may be required
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs (files, binders, supplies)
- Standard Monday–Friday daytime schedule; no regular travel required
