Project Coordinator – Temp-to-Hire

HJG Staffing is seeking a highly organized, motivated Project Coordinator for a growing company in the Grand Prairie, TX area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent potential for long-term growth and advancement.

We are looking for someone who is bright, resourceful, dependable, highly organized, and eager to learn. The right person will be comfortable managing multiple priorities independently, following up consistently, and taking ownership of deadlines and details.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with Project Managers to coordinate day-to-day project needs and deadlines.
• Coordinate and track material orders and deliveries to ensure materials arrive when needed.
• Follow up with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, stores, landlords, and other project contacts.
• Maintain organized email communication and develop reliable systems for tracking outstanding items and follow-ups.
• Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up before items become overdue.
• Identify potential issues or delays and know when to escalate them to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain accurate electronic project files, records, reports, and documentation.
• Assist with project setup, scheduling, closeout, and punch-list items.
• Coordinate transportation and delivery of materials to job sites.
• Assist with locating subcontractors and obtaining project information or bids.
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding project status and outstanding needs.
• Handle multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform additional project coordination and administrative duties as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in project coordination, operations, purchasing, logistics, administrative support, account coordination, material ordering, vendor coordination, or a similar fast-paced environment is preferred.

Construction and Procore experience are a plus, but not required.

More important than industry experience is a demonstrated ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, follow through, solve problems, and take ownership of responsibilities.
