The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary The Columbia Initiative in Cell Engineering and Therapy (CICET) seeks a Project Coordinator II to support the development and delivery of educational programs, events, and meetings that advance cell and gene therapy initiatives across Columbia University. This role oversees project timelines, materials, and deliverables, including activities supported through external partnerships. Working closely with CICET leadership and faculty, the Project Coordinator II ensures programs are organized, documented, and executed effectively. The position reports to the CICET Senior Program Manager.

Responsibilities

Program and Event Coordination

  • Assist in planning and delivering courses, symposia, meetings, and related initiatives.
  • Manage event logistics, including registration, materials, signage, and follow-up communications.
  • Support educational sessions for clinical, patient, or community audiences.
  • Coordinate fellowship-related program materials, schedules, and documentation as directed.

Visual and Educational Materials

  • Develop and refine figures, infographics, visual abstracts, and diagrams for presentations, reports, and grant materials.
  • Prepare slide decks, posters, and standardized templates to ensure consistency across CICET programs.
  • Design annual and three-year progress reports using Adobe Illustrator or related design software.
  • Translate scientific and clinical concepts into clear visual formats.
  • Collaborate with faculty to revise materials and meet established deadlines.

Digital Communications and Outreach

  • Maintain and update the CICET website.
  • Manage and grow CICETs presence on platforms such as Twitter/X, YouTube, Bluesky, and LinkedIn.
  • Draft and distribute newsletters, announcements, and event-related communications.
  • Maintain mailing lists and support outreach efforts.

Administrative Support

  • Provide cross-coverage for the CICET administrative team, including calendar scheduling support for the Director as needed.
  • Perform additional duties to support CICET operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 4 years of related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education or an academic medical center.
  • Background supporting scientific or research-focused programs.
  • Familiarity with cell and gene therapy or biomedical research.
  • Masters degree in a related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media tools.
  • Experience preparing educational materials and reports.
