Join us in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. Damar Services is seeking a talented and motivated Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will be involved in the day-to-day operations of assigned projects for throughout Damar Services. They will be responsible for organizing and communicating details related to a specific assignment or task while serving as an interface between team members and managers. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the EVP, Operations and Administration to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. 

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, but can require some evening/weekend work (depending on project)

Remarkable ways you will be making a difference:

  • Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned
  • Coordinates project schedules, resources, equipment, and information
  • Identifies and defines project requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Ensures needs are met as projects evolve
  • Help prepare budgets
  • Analyzes risks and opportunities
  • Monitors project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Acts as the point of contract and communicate project status to all participants
  • Uses tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures
  • Ensures standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests

What you need to be considered:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or applicable discipline required, MBA preferred
  • Previous administrative/clerical experience in a project management setting preferred
  • Expert level Microsoft Office experience and ability to read building plans
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
