Project Coordinator

About the Opportunity

A well-established commercial construction organization is seeking a Project Coordinator to support multiple construction projects from startup through closeout. This role works closely with project managers and project teams to ensure documentation, communications, and administrative processes are handled efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, coordination, and working in a fast-paced construction environment while collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams with project startup activities and documentation.

  • Support project managers with contract administration, subcontractor documentation, shop drawings, and project records.

  • Track and maintain submittals, RFIs, addenda, construction bulletins, and related project documentation.

  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and project-related communications.

  • Coordinate project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranty documentation, operations and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings.

  • Assist with bid invitation lists and project support activities as needed.

  • Organize, file, archive, and maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures.

  • Support project teams with document management and record retention.

  • Serve as a backup resource for other team members when needed.

  • Assist with maintaining positive relationships among project stakeholders.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred.

  • 2-3 years of construction industry or project coordination experience preferred.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Experience with construction management software is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize work, solve problems, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Primarily office-based with periodic visits to local construction sites.

  • Up to 20% local travel.

  • Construction site visits may include exposure to varying weather conditions and uneven terrain.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
