We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator.
The Section for Global Health within NYU Langone Healths Institute for Excellence in Health Equity (IEHE) is seeking a Project Coordinator, AMPATH Ghana.
The Project Coordinator of Engagement and Partnerships will support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships across the U.S. and globally for the program. Working in collaboration with AMPATH Ghana leadership and other key team members, this person will coordinate partnership activities, support engagement with existing and prospective partners, and assist in implementing initiatives that advance the program's mission and long-term sustainability. This individual will also contribute to stakeholder engagement, communications, and sustainability efforts while supporting the program's objectives in collaboration with a diverse and growing global network of partners. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in partnership coordination, global health, and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across sectors.
Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) Ghana is one partnership within AMPATH Global, a network of universities and academic health centers that collaborate with health systems in low- and middle-income countries to ensure essential and equitable health for all people. The AMPATH Consortium has developed and inspired future leaders in healthcare in both North America and around the world, and produced hundreds of published articles, all while successfully responding to healthcare needs in homes, communities, and clinical facilities in partner sites and countries.
The Section for Global Health within NYU Langone Healths Institute for Excellence in Health Equity leads the AMPATH Consortium of academic health centers in the AMPATH Ghana partnership with the University for Development Studies School of Medicine (UDS-SoM), Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), and other affiliated institutions in Ghana. AMPATH Ghana leverages the experience of AMPATH Global, builds on the strengths of Ghanas existing healthcare system, and serves as a resource to Ghanas health and education leaders. This partnership works towards mutually beneficial outcomes for all partners, improving the health and well-being of people in communities in and around Tamale, Ghana; educating tomorrows medical experts worldwide; and jointly researching breakthroughs that will inform improvements in population health around the world.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate activities that support partnerships with academic, governmental, non-profit, and private sector stakeholders
Support the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of new and existing partners to advance AMPATH Ghana's mission and sustainability
Maintain regular communication with program staff, partners, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and alignment
Prepare partner communications, reports, presentations, and other engagement materials
Coordinate stakeholder requests for technical assistance and related support in collaboration with AMPATH Ghana leadership and Ghanaian partners
Represent AMPATH Ghana at meetings, conferences, and partner engagements, as appropriate
Support dissemination of the program's research, educational, and implementation activities
Assist with the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and partnership engagement strategies
Coordinate activities related to supporter and partner engagement in collaboration with relevant institutional departments and offices
Support implementation of the program's communications plan in collaboration with AMPATH Ghana leadership and institutional communications teams
Coordinate logistics and activities for partner engagement, including planning and facilitating partner visits to Ghana
Track partnership activities, maintain stakeholder records, and monitor engagement milestones
Other relevant duties as requested by the Executive Director of AMPATH Ghana
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.
Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in public health, public policy/administration, business, or a related field. Experience in global health.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,300.00 - $70,350.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
