Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Coordinator to join our team in the Residential Construction sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about construction and wants to make a significant impact on our projects. The chosen candidate will be a key player in coordinating and overseeing all stages of our residential construction projects, from initial planning and foundation work to the final touches that make a house a home. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and cost estimation.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure all project requirements are met on time and within budget.
2. Prepare comprehensive project schedules, plans, and workflows, and monitor and report on project progress.
3. Conduct cost estimation and analysis at various stages of the project, ensuring that all financial aspects are accurately forecasted and managed.
4. Coordinate and manage all project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical reports.
5. Implement and oversee quality control procedures to maintain the highest standards of construction.
6. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and liaise with the construction team.
7. Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are well-informed and aligned on project objectives and progress.
8. Identify potential project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and building codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project coordination role in the construction industry, preferably in residential construction.
2. Proven experience in cost estimation in the construction sector.
3. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
4. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
7. In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, equipment, and safety protocols.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
10. Certification in Project Management (PMP) or a related field would be an added advantage.
