This position will manage and provide support for a grant-funded project designed to develop a partnership between VCU and RISE for Youth to lay the groundwork for a broader study of system-involved youth in Virginia. The project includes meeting with current and prospective community partners; scheduling, coordinating and attending meetings with young people and their families; creating an advisory group; communicating with the public and broader community; assisting with focus groups; writing reports; recruiting participants and partners; and planning and launching a community event.
Hours per week:10-15 hour
Flexible Work Arrangements: Primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings in Richmond, VA
Responsibilities include
Managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities for the project
Daily communication with the project supervisor
Weekly communication with project partners
Weekly networking with community members
Task planning and management
Maintaining calendar and schedule for all activities, meeting deadlines
Internal and external communications with project staff and stakeholders
Event planning
Report writing
Maintaining records
Helping to design and conduct focus groups
Required qualifications:
Experience working with a community organization
Experience working with young people
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office products or similar software
