AKHS, P invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dynamic candidates for the position of Project Coordinator, Elderly Care Project, based at the Regional Office, Community Health Program, Karachi.

Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator coordinates and oversees the implementation of the Elderly Care Project, ensuring timely, effective, and quality delivery of project activities in line with approved objectives, plans, standards, and donor requirements. The position leads and supports the field team, strengthens teamwork and accountability, monitors project progress, and provides technical support to achieve expected results. The role manages stakeholder engagement and contributes to overall project and donor accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and oversees the implementation of project activities in accordance with approved plans, objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Leads and supports the field team to ensure effective coordination, teamwork, accountability, and timely delivery of project activities.
  • Monitors project progress against agreed targets, milestones, and indicators and identifies areas requiring corrective action.
  • Provides ongoing technical guidance and support to the field team to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of project implementation.
  • Ensures effective documentation and reporting of project activities, progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Coordinates with relevant internal teams, project stakeholders, partners, and other concerned parties to facilitate smooth project implementation.
  • Maintains effective communication with donors and supports fulfilment of donor requirements and commitments.
  • Identifies project implementation risks and supports appropriate mitigation and resolution measures.
  • Promotes a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and quality results within the project team.
  • Supports monitoring and evaluation activities and uses project data and feedback to inform implementation and improve project outcomes.
  • Ensures project activities are implemented in accordance with AKHS, P policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements, and applicable standards.
