  • Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.
  • Period of Performance: 30 September 2026 – 29 September 2027, with Option to Extend the Services
  • Total Compensation: $40.00 per hour.
  • Paid Time Off per Year: Up to 80 hours, accruing on day one.
  • Sick Leave per Year: Up to 56 hours, accruing on day one.
  • Paid Federal Holidays: Twelve (12) Paid Federal Holidays

Working Hours

The Project Coordinator will work Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1630 hours, excluding federal holidays. The work schedule may, at times, require the Project Coordinator to work after duty hours in support of specific tasks. Although the schedule may have to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week.

Summary of Services

The Project Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Applied Technology and Genomics Division to help manage programs and projects, including drafting project documents, coordinating institutional approvals, monitoring spending plans, and supporting technical programmatic reviews.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, with 1-2 years of experience in a scientific, analytical, or research setting.
  • Possess the ability to organize, manage, and perform projects related to ongoing programmatic efforts.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess proficiency with standard information technology, including Microsoft software programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Possess exceptionally high capacity for working autonomously and performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Possess demonstrated competency and effectiveness in working with inter-professional teams.
  • Possess experience and familiarity with logistics and equipment management within a technical or medical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid in managing programs and projects, including drafting project documents, coordinating institutional approvals, monitoring spending plans, and supporting technical programmatic reviews.
  • Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of project and study data.
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) and project leads.
  • Perform administrative tasks: obtain and maintain applicable IRB, HRPO, IACUC, IBC, and MOU/data sharing agreements, and provide auditing trails to assure protocol compliance.
  • Identify problems or inconsistencies, monitor project progress, document and report adverse events, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in preparing amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study designs as appropriate.
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate with subject matter experts, conduct literature reviews, and manage document clearances per Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) regulations.
  • Assist in drafting, preparing, and/or editing scholarly publications, including abstracts, posters, technical reports, manuscripts, and slide presentations.
  • Create and maintain project documents, management spreadsheets, presentations, and project-related databases.
  • Attend meetings as required with government and civilian organizations, program managers, academia, clinicians, and other subject matter experts.
  • Abide by all Federal, State, and USAFSAM directives concerning the confidentiality of patient records, as embodied in federal statutes including the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
