Project Designer – Electronic Security Systems
Location: Denver, Colorado

Summary: Join a leading systems integration company specializing in electronic security, life safety, and low-voltage solutions for commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. We're seeking an experienced Project Designer to support the engineering and delivery of complex security projects from concept through installation.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AutoCAD drawings for electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
  • Create floor plans, riser diagrams, device layouts, wiring details, and project documentation.
  • Review project specifications, customer requirements, and applicable codes to ensure accurate, compliant designs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, customers, vendors, and AHJs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), assist with submittals and RFIs, and recommend cost-effective design solutions.
  • Provide technical support during project execution as needed.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience designing electronic security, low-voltage, fire alarm, or building automation systems.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills and experience interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and/or fire alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes, AHJ requirements, and commercial construction projects.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
