Lead High-End Remodeling Projects from Concept to Contract

Feinmann is seeking a Project Developer / Estimator to lead residential remodeling projects through the development phase--from initial client commitment through final construction contract.

This role is ideal for a construction professional who excels in client communication, budgeting, estimating, and pre-construction coordination. You will play a critical role in translating design concepts into clear, accurate, and buildable project plans.


What You'll Do

Project & Client Leadership

  • Guide clients through planning, budgeting, design refinement, and selections
  • Communicate project updates, budgets, and timelines clearly and consistently
  • Secure signed Commitment-to-Build agreements and final construction contracts

Sales & Financial Performance

  • Deliver $6M-$8M annually in remodeling contracts
  • Maintain target gross profit margins across projects
  • Manage budget evolution from initial design through final contract
  • Ensure alignment between project scope, design, and approved budgets

Design & Pre-Construction Coordination

  • Collaborate with designers, sales, and production teams
  • Review designs for constructability, accuracy, and budget feasibility
  • Oversee client selections and establish realistic material allowances
  • Coordinate vendor pricing, lead times, and critical path items

Estimating & Contract Development

  • Develop detailed project budgets, scopes, and schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractor pricing and prepare job specifications
  • Complete lumber take-offs, labor estimates, and material pricing
  • Write clear and comprehensive construction contracts

Production Readiness

  • Deliver complete and accurate job packages prior to construction start
  • Partner with Project Managers on scheduling, logistics, and risk review
  • Ensure all sales and design elements are finalized before handoff

  • Proven experience in residential construction, remodeling, or project development
  • Strong estimating, budgeting, and contract-writing skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset across design, sales, and production teams
  • Knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods
