Givens Affordable Communities is hiring a Project Development Coordinator. The Project Development Coordinator must have personal initiative, a high level of organization, resourcefulness, and the ability to work collaboratively with public and private organizations and funders as they coordinate activities related to affordable and middle market senior housing development.
What you'll do:
Work closely with the Executive Director of Affordable Communities to evaluate potential new projects in keeping with the Givens mission and strategic plan
Assist in identifying priorities and political impacts of potential projects on the surrounding area
Assist in generating budgets and pro forma to evaluate financial feasibility of potential projects
Provide support in obtaining acquisition, construction and permanent financing for projects including LIHTC, HOME, and other funding applications
Track invoices and submit construction draws for review in a timely and efficient manner while monitoring the actual and anticipated project sources and use over the construction period
Develop and maintain relationships with federal, states and local funders, government agencies, community and neighborhood groups, development partners and industry professionals
Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in the field of real estate, business administration, finance, urban development, public administration, or related field is preferred
Fair Housing and Section 504/ADA certification desired, or willing to obtain once hired
At least 5 years' experience in real estate development, affordable housing, urban planning, community planning, or related field. Affordable housing experience is preferred
Strong organizational, financial, and analytical skills
Ability to research various state, county and municipal requirements, review and/or proofread partnership agreements, promissory notes, escrow instructions, leases, contracts and other typed material for; contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors
Must possess excellent judgment, a high level of interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with a high degree of professional discretion
The compensation is based on background and experience and will range from $55,000 - $70,000 per year. This also includes our comprehensive benefits package
