Capital Disaster Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Director / Estimator to lead mitigation and construction projects across our multifamily portfolio. This role provides strategic oversight, ensures operational excellence, and drives profitability while maintaining exceptional client relationships. The Project Director supervises Project Managers, Superintendents, and Technicians, and plays a key role in estimating, planning, and executing projects from start to finish.
Project Leadership & Execution
Receive, review, and approve new jobs ensuring scope, budget, and compliance requirements are clearly defined.
Request asbestos reports prior to project start.
Obtain Work Authorizations, Proposals, Contracts, and required permits.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets using Proven Jobs.
Conduct site walks with subcontractors or CDS team; verify completed work matches scope.
Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, including buyout through Proven Jobs work orders.
Oversee multiple mitigation and construction projects simultaneously.
Ensure Monday/Thursday project update emails are sent through Proven Jobs.
Documentation & Technology
Utilize Encircle for hydro data, photo documentation, and certificate of completion signatures.
Create detailed Encircle Photo Reports at project start and completion.
Document completed areas and updates through Proven Jobs Notes.
Complete and execute all subcontractor Work Orders.
Client Relationship Management
Send welcome emails to new clients and provide ongoing project updates.
Provide daily updates to clients and CDS team via Proven Jobs Notes.
Conduct post-project evaluations and send customer satisfaction surveys.
Send thank‑you emails at project completion (cc: CDS ownership/management).
Ensure full payment is collected and profit margins are met.
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to company dress code.
Performance & Compliance
Monitor project performance and adjust plans as needed.
Ensure all work complies with industry standards, local regulations, and CDS policies.
Manage change orders, approvals, and additional client requests.
Sales & Business Development
Make 10 fresh contacts per week (quality assurance visits, cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, etc.).
Conduct 2 new business meetings per week (discovery, ERP discussions, sales cycle progression).
Follow new leads and fire notifications; update team and tracker.

5+ years of experience in mitigation, restoration, construction, or related project management.
Strong estimating experience for mitigation and construction scopes.
Proficiency with Proven Jobs, Encircle, or similar project management platforms.
Ability to lead field teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, client management, and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of permitting, compliance, and industry standards.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
