Project Electrical EngineerLocation: All Locations, TX, CO, OK, and FL, TX, 76107 Position OverviewWe are seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to fulfill an intermediate level engineering role supporting Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls design on projects. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and mentorship while developing expertise in electrical and/or I&C engineering. Experience/Education Requirements- 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree.
- 2 years of relevant experience with a PhD or other advanced degree.
- Experience includes familiarity with performing calculations and developing Contract documents including the design of power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, instrumentation, P&IDs, and/or SCADA networks.
Primary Role- Serve as Project Engineer on multiple design projects with significant autonomy for project-related tasks.
- Generate calculations, including load, short circuit, incident energies (arc flash), conduit & conductor sizing, voltage drop, and lighting.
- Evaluate options and alternatives, prepare drawings, with the support of CAD staff, specifications, cost estimates, and draft technical reports.
- Conduct periodic construction observation site visits and prepare detailed field site visit reports.
- Train, delegate tasks, and mentor Interns to entry-level engineers.
Key Requirements- Intermediate understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Proficient with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Working knowledge of practice-specific tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, EasyPower, SKM, Visual Lighting Software, and/or other relevant tools.
- Ability to collaboratively plan, solve problems, and follow through on projects.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Locations - This position supports projects in multiple locations including Texas (TX), Colorado (CO), Oklahoma (OK), and Florida (FL), with a primary office location at TX, 76107.
Salary Range
$107,209 - $134,011/annually
