Project Engineer / Project Manager - WA - June 2025 - 1313

Our client located in the Seattle area is seeking a Project Engineer/Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across the design, development, and production lifecycle of advanced thermal protection and sealing systems. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery-ensuring alignment with technical specifications, budgetary constraints, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering or production projects from concept through completion.

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Track project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.

  • Interface directly with customers and internal stakeholders to communicate progress, resolve issues, and manage expectations.

  • Support the industrialization and scaling of new products, particularly those involving advanced materials such as Silicone, Kevlar, Fiberglass, Ceramic, and Carbon.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks; apply problem-solving techniques to resolve issues impacting project success.

  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across technical and operational domains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical project management.

  • Familiarity with high-performance materials and related manufacturing processes preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and engineering software (e.g., CAD).

  • Effective communicator with strong leadership and collaboration abilities.

  • Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies is a plus.
