Project Engineer / Project Manager - WA - June 2025 - 1313
Our client located in the Seattle area is seeking a Project Engineer/Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across the design, development, and production lifecycle of advanced thermal protection and sealing systems. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery-ensuring alignment with technical specifications, budgetary constraints, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering or production projects from concept through completion.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
Track project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
Interface directly with customers and internal stakeholders to communicate progress, resolve issues, and manage expectations.
Support the industrialization and scaling of new products, particularly those involving advanced materials such as Silicone, Kevlar, Fiberglass, Ceramic, and Carbon.
Identify and mitigate project risks; apply problem-solving techniques to resolve issues impacting project success.
Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across technical and operational domains.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical project management.
Familiarity with high-performance materials and related manufacturing processes preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and engineering software (e.g., CAD).
Effective communicator with strong leadership and collaboration abilities.
Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies is a plus.
