About the Role: One Shot Automation LLC is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer – Automation to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage automation engineering projects from concept through commissioning
Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems
Collaborate with clients to define project scope, requirements, and technical specifications
Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and technical documentation
Perform on-site installation, startup, and troubleshooting of automated systems
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (or related field)
2+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering
Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
Experience with HMI/SCADA development and integration
Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design
Excellent project management and client communication skills
Ability to travel to client sites for installation and commissioning as needed
