Position Overview
A well‑established construction organization is seeking a Project Engineer / BIM Modeler to support project planning, coordination, and execution across complex construction projects. This role partners closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to improve constructability, coordination, and project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Layout & Coordination

  • Create and maintain 2D layout files using AutoCAD
  • Verify building geometry and coordination across design documents
  • Update drawings based on new releases and evolving trade scopes
  • Add project control information as required

Modeling & Analysis

  • Perform slope and drainage studies using Revit, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam to ensure positive drainage and ADA compliance
  • Develop floor finish plans, confirming finish scope, mix design, and reinforcement requirements
  • Create control joint plans for slab‑on‑grade, masonry, brick, and site work

3D Modeling & Visuals

  • Develop 3D models for project pursuits, scheduling, logistics planning, and quantity analysis
  • Model scope to construction tolerances for field use and coordination
  • Produce custom visuals including elevations, embeds, in‑slab coordination, and formwork requirements

Preconstruction & Project Support

  • Assist with site logistics planning, including crane and equipment placement
  • Provide quantity takeoffs and breakdowns to support estimating, cost changes, and procurement
  • Support project sequencing and construction phasing visuals

Drawing Review & Documentation

  • Perform full drawing reviews for coordination and constructability issues
  • Prepare RFIs and manage documentation within project management platforms
  • Track ASIs, PRs, and scope changes
  • Review CMU coursing and door frame sizing

Submittals & Coordination

  • Review internal and external subcontractor submittals (rebar, formwork, steel, precast, elevators, anchors, etc.)
  • Coordinate approvals and maintain accurate records

Field & Team Support

  • Support field staff with plan interpretation and issue resolution
  • Serve as a technical resource for information flow between office and field
  • Attend and help prepare for design and coordination meetings (virtual or onsite)

Procurement & Data Management

  • Prepare accurate CMU and brick quantity orders using detailed elevations
  • Maintain complete project documentation including drawings, estimates, proposals, logistics plans, and product data
