Compensation: $125K - $165K annually, depending on experience 
 
Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer – Structural/Civil to support the execution of multidisciplinary EPCM projects. This role combines technical engineering expertise with project coordination responsibilities, ensuring designs are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support structural and civil design efforts for EPCM projects, including industrial, commercial, and infrastructure facilities

  • Develop and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications

  • Coordinate with internal disciplines (mechanical, electrical, process) and external stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including New Jersey codes and standards

  • Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) where applicable

  • Manage project deliverables, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers

  • Conduct site visits, field inspections, and construction support as needed

  • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation when required
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey (required)

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in structural/civil engineering, preferably within an EPCM or consulting environment

  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.)

  • Experience with design software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and coordination skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PE licensure in multiple states or ability to obtain additional licenses quickly

  • Experience in industrial or heavy infrastructure projects

  • Familiarity with permitting processes in multiple jurisdictions

  • Experience acting as Engineer of Record (EOR)

  • Project management experience or exposure to EPCM project delivery models
     

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Occasional travel to project sites as required
