Project EngineerOur client is a growing General Contractor in Ohio. With a growing division in their K-12 Education project team, they are looking for someone to come in with diversified experience to help lead and grow this division. Their commitment to employee success is unparalleled, and they are looking for a strong Project Engineer to grow and develop with their resources and expertise. The company is offering extremely competitive compensation along with bonuses and a promo path to a PM that comes with an increased salary, bonus, and $875 a month vehicle allowance.Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer will be required to lead or assist in:Providing project leadership and establishing, implementing, and supporting a proactive project safety cultureManaging the development and review of bid packages to procure competitive subcontract proposalsManaging job-site subcontractor meetings to ensure that the project goals are metReviewing monthly invoices and overseeing documentation and approval needed to ensure timely funding for the projectLeading the management of cost reporting including but not limited to contracts, purchase orders, and scope revisions to achieve defined project goalsEnsuring overall financial health of the project and project forecastsRepresenting our client in the subcontract negotiationsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Project Engineer will need:1+ years of commercial construction experiencePrior experience working on K-12 Education projectsWorking knowledge of construction technology and detailsConstruction Management degree or its equivalent in experienceCandidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawingsExcellent written and oral communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clientsWorking knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electricalWhat's on OfferThe Project Engineer will be offered:A competitive base salary between $70,000-$90,000 (depending on experience)Promo path in 12-18 months to PMGenerous 401K structureAnnual bonusRobust career advancement opportunityStrong training programs15 PTO days and national holidaysCompany wide eventsOpportunity to grow a division within a well-established GC!
