("ECI") builds sound commercial structures, and we are growing fast thanks to our client relationships.ECI is headquartered in North Austin and our clients are now all over Central Texas as we continue to expand with client requests.ECI is driven with a team that consists of an amazing group of hardworking, productive, and dedicated team members who love what they do and excel at being the best.Our team is not only accountable to the company, but also to themselves and are individuals that continually strive to be the best.ECI understands finding great talent is harder than ever and is prepared to offer competitive compensation along with full company benefits to ensure we attract and retain the best in the industry.If you feel you have a similar philosophy and are driven to be part of our progressive and winning team, we would love to have you join us!OverviewWhat You'll Be Doing: The following is a list of the major responsibilities of the Commercial Construction Project Engineer:Proficient with Procore and familiarity with MS Projects.Provide support during pre‑construction and project closeout processes.Assist with monitoring project budgets and forecasting updates.Review project plans and specifications to provide input on scheduling, design, and potential cost‑saving measures.Assist the estimating team in preparing budgets and bids.Prepare, track, and maintain submittals, RFIs, and change order logs.Coordinate timely submissions/reviews of shop drawings and required approvals.Assist with creating project schedules in Microsoft Project and help track progress.Attend and prepare meeting minutes for OAC meetings.Track and help resolve errors, discrepancies, or omissions in construction documents.Monitor site safety documentation in conjunction with the Superintendent and ensure compliance with safety standards.Assist with tracking inspections, testing, and municipal approvals.Maintain accurate project records, as‑built, and closeout documentation.Provide general project administrative support to Project Managers and Superintendents.Other duties as assigned or needed to fulfill job requirements.This is a 40+ hour position, salary exempt professional – Benefits (Health/Dental/401k) are provided for salaried positions.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum 2–4 years' experience as a Project Engineer (or related role) on commercial and/or industrial projects.College or university degree in a construction‑related field preferred.Understanding of construction terms, scheduling, and planning.Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, Excel, etc.ImportantAbsolutely no alcohol or drugs in the workplace.Acceptable background check & drug tests are a condition of hire.Applicants must have a valid Texas Driver's License (If out of state, you have 60 days to obtain a Texas Driver's License.)ECI does NOT provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B visa status).Additional InformationECI conducts a personality assessment to see if you'll fit within our culture and work style; it's important to us that you're happy in your role, that you bring the right set of skills and aptitude, and that your approach to work fits our approach.Applicants must have a valid Texas Driver's License (If out of state, you have 60 days to obtain a Texas Driver's License.)
