Project EngineerResponsibilitiesAssist in managing the project budget and develop scenarios to help achieve that budgetCoordinate up to $5 million per year of subcontracts and purchase ordersSetup project files and maintenance of all plans and specifications, while ensuring appropriate distribution of copies to field officesCommunicate with subcontractors to inform them of upcoming bids; distribute plans, specifications, and addenda; and ensure they have adequate certificates of insuranceCreate and track submittals, transmittals, requests for information, and shop drawing logsConfirm that all materials are delivered on time and are in compliance with project drawings and specificationsMonitor quality control and safety programs to ensure the project is following approved plansTake notes on conversations with all parties involved in the project, file all correspondence in project files, and assist in preparation of reportsCoordinate all closeout procedures including O&M manuals, as‑builts, warranties, keys, and extra materialsRecord and distribute meeting minutesAssist with estimating and review subcontractor quotes for accuracyGenerate work plans and document job site activities, including progress picturesDevelop and maintain project schedulesQualificationsHave a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Have previous relevant experience in construction management.Are willing and able to relocate to Ross Group offices or project sites, typically located throughout the South and Midwest.Have a proven history of dependability in meeting attendance guidelines, following instructions, and timely responses.Excel at managing rapidly changing priorities to accomplish project goals.Don't mind flexible work hours, with an average of 50 hours per week or as needed.Use strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of employees, Ross Group management, and outside partners such as owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliersExhibit appropriate leadership skills and abilitiesPhysical RequirementsWork outdoors in extreme conditions such as cold, heat, and humidity on an occasional basisStand, climb, bend, and stoop on an occasional basisUse visual and auditory skillsBenefitsSome positions warrant eligibility for a monthly auto allowance.
