Technical Solutions Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer / Coordinator on behalf of our client, a construction company located in the Pittsburgh area.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with our client located south of Pittsburgh, PA. The Project Engineer / Coordinator will support projects throughout both the pre-sale and post-sale phases while managing multiple projects at various stages.
Responsibilities will include obtaining and coordinating vendor and subcontractor quotes, assisting with project scheduling, tracking materials, and coordinating personnel to help keep projects on schedule. The position will work closely with engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design requirements, safety standards, schedules, and budgets.
Additional responsibilities may include reviewing project drawings and specifications, conducting site visits, addressing project-related issues as they arise, and maintaining consistent communication with all parties involved throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to effectively coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, clients, and field personnel
- Familiarity with construction processes, architectural and engineering drawings, and applicable building requirements
- Experience coordinating schedules, materials, project timelines, and budgets
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation
- Familiarity with Pre-Engineered Metal Building construction is a plus
- Associate degree with a focus in Engineering, CAD, Construction, or a related field preferred
- Experience with project management or construction-related software is a plus
- Previous experience supporting industrial or commercial building projects is preferred
