    Job Description

At Air Products, we reimagine what's possible. By tapping into the motivation of our people and our collective experience, we create the ideas and innovations that drive us forward. When we come together - where every voice is heard and everyone knows they belong and matter - we create solutions that launch people into space, support lifesaving care in hospitals, and enable the construction of groundbreaking, world scale production facilities.

    Reimagine What's Possible

    Key Responsibilities

    • Champion Air Products' Safety Program in all customer, project, and operational activities.
    • Manage a portfolio of concurrent cryogenic and industrial gas delivery system projects, ensuring safe execution and delivery on schedule and within budget.
    • Develop technical proposals, estimates, and engineered solutions that support customer requirements and business objectives.
    • Manage project execution through design, procurement, installation, and commissioning while coordinating internal teams and external partners to achieve project objectives.
    • Apply sound engineering judgment to evaluate competing alternatives and make informed technical decisions that move projects forward.
    • Support customers and operations teams throughout the lifecycle of installed systems by troubleshooting equipment and system issues, evaluating modifications, identifying performance improvements, and developing solutions that support evolving operational requirements.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
    • Basic understanding of drafting or CAD and the ability to develop equipment layouts and process flow schematics.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities through strong organizational discipline.
    • Technical aptitude to understand customer requirements, industrial technologies, and project financial considerations.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, sound engineering judgment, and a results-oriented mindset.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to interpret and apply technical codes, standards, and specifications.

    Minimum Hiring Requirements

    • One to five years of engineering experience with an engineering degree or equivalent experience; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
    • Self-directed and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across geographically dispersed teams.
    • Proficiency with common business and engineering software applications.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

    Work Arrangement and Travel

Air Products recognizes the value of workplace flexibility and supports a hybrid work environment for established team members. To facilitate effective onboarding, mentorship, and hands-on development, new hires are expected to work primarily from the office or field. As employees develop proficiency and independence in the role, hybrid work flexibility may become available based on business needs.

Travel requirements for this position are typically 10-20% to support technical sales activities, site evaluations, and project execution. Additional travel should be expected during onboarding and training to facilitate hands-on learning and development.
