Project Engineer Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center – fully onsite $55 – 90K (Depending on Experience) – Full Time with Benefits CHIN is seeking a qualified concrete foundation project engineer to execute project engineering duties on large construction projects. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager – Concrete Foundations and be responsible for implementing project engineering processes and functions at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in making a positive impact on the largest construction project in Texas. Key Responsibilities: - Assists the PM team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large- size scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
- Organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training.
- Interfaces with Design team.
- Works closely with BIM team and uses modelling software.
- Interacts with Project Managers and Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
- Assist with and monitors change orders.
- Assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
- Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and contract.
- Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
- Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
- May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.
Minimum Requirements: - Education – bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Two (2) years of experience in relevant role
Preferred Qualifications: - PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
- CMAA Certified Associate Construction Manager (CACM)
- OSHA 10+ Hour Construction
- LEED Accredited Professional
- Excellent Communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
