Partnering with design, manufacturing, field, and project teams, you’ll solve challenges, drive key scopes of work, and make a visible impact on every project.

This role is ideal for a proactive engineering professional ready to take ownership, lead with confidence, and grow their expertise in project execution, safety, cost control, planning, scheduling, and team leadership. This position requires flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time, as project needs require.

Salary Range: $95,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling staff, project, and proprietary information.

    • Perform advanced design-phase activities, including—but not limited to—submittal drawings, design approvals, reinforcement drawings, and miscellaneous metal drawings.

    • Oversee manufacturing-related production-phase activities, including—but not limited to—providing complete shop drawings, ensuring procurement of all required materials, maintaining the casting schedule, and conducting quality checks.

    • Oversee field-related erection-phase activities, including—but not limited to—preparing crane studies and rigging diagrams; coordinating shipping and field manpower requirements; and ensuring erection quality and performance align with the project plan and budget.

    • Apply project management and document-control practices, including—but not limited to—identifying and resolving issues, coordinating requested procedure submittals, escalating issues as necessary, and monitoring contract specifications, budget, and schedule commitments.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Skills, Abilities & Physical Requirements

    • Consistently deliver assigned project scope in alignment with schedule, cost, and quality requirements.

    • Demonstrate mastery of the Project Engineer role, with the ability to lead, mentor, and train multiple Project Engineers across multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Communicate exceptionally well—verbally and in writing—while actively listening, engaging, and building trust with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    • Build strong, collaborative relationships and motivate teams with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and priorities.

    • Maintain a high level of detail, accuracy, organization, and accountability while managing multiple projects, stakeholders, goals, and deadlines.

    • Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify, resolve, and help prevent recurring issues; escalate concerns appropriately while maintaining positive working relationships.

    • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Clark Pacific’s vision, mission, values, and core competencies, and effectively promote them to others.

    • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints with confidence.

    • Apply advanced mathematical skills, spatial reasoning, and the ability to visualize building systems in three dimensions.

    • Demonstrate CAD proficiency and the ability to quickly develop engineering sketches.

    • Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.

    • Show initiative and a willingness to step into a larger role when project needs or opportunities arise.

    • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.

    • Perform frequent desk-based and mobile work, including sitting, standing, walking, and using computers and phones.

    • Perform periodic repetitive movements involving the feet, legs, hands, arms, shoulders, and torso.

    • Perform occasional physical activities, including bending, squatting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

    • Be willing and able to travel 50% or more—potentially up to 80%, based on project needs—and temporarily relocate when required.

    About Company

Founded as Tecon Pacific in 1963, Clark Pacific started in West Sacramento on a four-acre site with 15 employees. In 1966, James Clark joined the then small firm as its general manager. With the help of many talented and dedicated engineering, plant, and field employees, the company grew rapidly during the pioneering stages of the industry in California. New forming, casting, stripping, finishing, loading, shipping, and erection techniques were being developed throughout the industry, and Tecon Pacific, under Jim Clark’s management, was at the forefront of this development on the West Coast. Today, Clark Pacific is owned and operated under equal partnership between Jim Clark’s sons, Donald Clark and Robert Clark. Like their father before them, Don and Bob are registered engineers dedicated to producing the best quality building solutions possible and pushing the limits of what prefabricated building systems can bring to today’s construction. Clark Pacific has become an industry-leading design-build manufacturer and constructor of complete building solutions and a key partner of owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors throughout California. With its industry partners, Clark Pacific continues to help shape the vibrant urban landscape of the West Coast.
