Project Engineer/Estimator

POSITION SUMMARY

Employee will perform project estimating and management. Strong critical thinking skills are required, must have the ability to incorporate academic knowledge into the assigned duties.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Analyze engineering plans, specifications, surveys, geotechnical reports, and field notes.

• Develop detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and customer-ready project proposals.

• Research and interpret applicable engineering standards, specifications, and code requirements.

• Coordinate with engineers, clients, and field personnel to support successful project execution.

• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and tracking throughout the project lifecycle.

• Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is complete and organized.

• Support field operations by providing technical assistance and resolving project-related issues.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; HeavyBid experience is a plus.
• Understanding of construction estimating, project management, and engineering principles.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project teams.
