The Project Engineer position will require you to work primarily in an office setting as you help our construction team meet the needs of our valued and high-profile clients. • Salary: $65,000 and $90,000, depending on experience, annual salary, paid semi-monthly.

Essential Duties

• Ensure that work is completed on time and meets quality expectations. This includes daily tracking of job progress and handling change order submittals
• Lead weekly conference calls with project groups, keeping and distributing meeting notes
• Ability to develop a strong and trusting relationship with our clients so that changes are addressed quickly
• Assist in building the baseline project schedule and project forecast
• Update design maps in ArcGIS Pro and other platforms utilizing bore logs, shape files, photos, and other as-built data
• Cross-validate GIS data to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer specifications
• Support Engineering team in creation and submittal of detailed as-built documentation in both GIS and PDF format
• Plan, prepare, collect, organize and maintain project documentation
• Support both the Engineering and Environmental teams in the permit creation, maintenance, and closeout processes
• Manage Mears deliverables in client WMS - track requirements and assignment of tasks; upload required documentation
• Support field management with various duties as needed (pre-construction meetings, white lining, etc.)
• All other duties assigned

Key Qualifications

• Prior project management or project controls experience helpful
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Utility locating or Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operations preferred
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Bluebeam, ArcGIS Pro), including file management and data entry
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Knowledge of GPS equipment, utility locating devices, or field surveying tools
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
