Based upon experience and Skills Excellent Benefits PackageLocation: Austin, Texas and DFW Metro Areas of TexasProject Engineer Job Responsibilities/General Duties:Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elementsDevelop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with managementDraft subcontractor agreements for reviewAttends site and owner meetingsOversee subcontractors and quality control and safety requirementsPrepare and track RFI's, Monthly Pay Requests and Purchase OrdersDocument Control: internals reports, tracking reports for equipment, time and materials, cost codingDetermines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standardsHelps to plan work schedule and keep schedule updates in the systemDetermines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elementsMaintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problemsControls project costs by submitting expenditures and administering subcontractor contracts for review and approvalPrepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actionsMaintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulationsMaintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.Other duties as assignedProject Engineer Qualifications / Skills:Requirements analysisProject Management & Supervision - may include company team and subcontractorsExcellent Verbal and Written communication skillsMust be attention to detailSafety Prioroty MindsetTeam Oriented MindsetProcess improvementTechnical understanding of plans and heavy civil projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:Bachelor's or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline Preferred but not Required1+ years of project /field experience working in the heavy civil construction industry RequiredEIT Certification a plusProficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software such as Primavera (P6) AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Viewpoint,ProcoreStrong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external resourcesAbility to effectively prioritize duties based on project schedules and project needsAbility to self-manage with little or no supervisionPhysical Requirements:Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.Windrose Staffing was born from a passion for helping others succeed in their career goals and assisting companies in finding a great match for talent.
