    Position: Project Engineer

    Location: Fresno, California  

    Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000/year

    Role Overview


    We are looking for a Project Engineer to assist the Onsite Project Manager and field crews in various capacities, with duties adjusted according to specific project needs.


    Core Responsibilities


    - Ensure adherence to the safety program, processes, and culture on all projects.

    - Write and manage submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).

    - Experience with federal contracting is highly advantageous.

    - Assist in project scheduling.

    - Track and report field production, cost estimates, and invoices.

    - Document Quality Control (QC) programs.

    - Manage subcontractors.

    - Perform quantity take-offs and pricing.

    - Procure necessary materials.

    - Oversee field employees.

    - Availability for overnight travel as required.


    Qualifications


    - Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

    - 0-5 years of experience as a Field Project Engineer in heavy civil construction.

    - Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Word; familiarity with Heavy Bid and Heavy Job preferred. Knowledge of Primavera and AutoCAD is desirable.

    - Strong written communication skills.

    - Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

    - Positive communication skills.

    - Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    - Physically able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and walk on uneven surfaces.

    - Ability to conduct pre-bid and project field visits.

    - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

    - Authorized to work in the United States.
