    Description

    We are looking for a Licensed Civil Engineer to join our fast-growing Engineering team. You will be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that the projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. You will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring a civil design team. You will work together as a unit while also collaborating and working with other Project Engineers.ResponsibilitiesManage and develop complete sets of development projects involving grading, drainage, water retention, retaining walls, sewer/waste water, road/transportation, site layout, and utilities on site design projectsPrepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projectsEvaluate surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach for developing and completing projects on time and on budgetComplete drainage calculations for storm sewer design, hydraulic systems, detention ponds, and water quality measuresLead a design team in correcting redlines and plan revisionsResearch and review ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state, and federal codes to ensure complianceCommunicate with city, county, and state entities to ensure all requirements are metCollaborate with project coordinators, other project engineers, and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisionsMonitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specificationsInteract daily with the Project Coordinators to make sure projects are on track and clients are being communicated with well about the status of their projectInteract with the clients when needed to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the fieldPerform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project statusAssign responsibilities, mentor the project team, and liaise with a variety of stakeholdersManage, design, develop, create, and maintain small-scale to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable mannerConduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other)Assess potential risks, materials, and costsAttend planning meetings as neededRequirementsProficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etcKnowledge of hydrology and hydraulics to put together drainage reportsAbility to communicate with a variety of professionals clearly and effectively, including colleagues and clientsPunctual with project deadlinesAbility to project manageAt least five years of relevant Civil 3D or CAD design experience strongly preferredKnowledge of HEC-RAS is a plusProficient in Microsoft Office productsProven working experience as a Project EngineerFamiliarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standardsAbility to work with multiple discipline projectsDecision making ability and leadership skillsCurrent engineer licenseTime management and organization skillsBS/MA in Civil Engineering or relevant fieldBenefits95% coverage of health benefits, including Medical and Dental, with optional family and/or dependent enrollment paid by the employee at a group rate50% company contribution towards Vision coverageTuition reimbursement (up to $5,250 per year)401(k) matching program: company match 100% of your deferrals up to 3% of your compensation, plus 50% of your deferrals over 3% not exceeding 5% of your compensation100% employer-paid Short-Term Disability with employee buy-up options100% employer-paid Life Insurance Coverage with employee buy-up optionsHoliday paySick payPaid vacationsPaid parental leaveCompany Computer#J-18808-Ljbffr
