We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Permanent Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Healthcare Construction sector. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the planning, execution, and finalization of construction projects in the healthcare and life science industries. This role involves working closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in project engineering, particularly in healthcare construction or life sciences, to further their career and make a significant impact in a rapidly growing industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and manage all project engineering activities to ensure the successful completion of projects.
2. Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop and implement project plans and schedules.
3. Review and approve technical drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
4. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks.
5. Ensure all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations specific to the healthcare and life science industries.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient project execution.
7. Conduct regular site inspections and provide technical guidance to construction teams.
8. Prepare and present regular project reports to stakeholders, highlighting project status, challenges, and proposed solutions.
9. Manage project resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
10. Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and contributing to decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry, preferably in healthcare construction or life sciences.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
4. Proficient in using project management software and tools.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in risk management.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
7. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
9. In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations in the healthcare and life science industries.
10. Professional Engineering (PE) certification is an advantage.
