Services Offered: 3D Laser Scanning, Controls & Automation, Construction Management, Design & Drafting, Engineering: Civil/Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Functional Safety, Information Technology, Instrumentation, On-Site Services, Operations & Commissioning Support, Procurement, Project ManagementSalmon & Associates is currently searching for a Project Engineer to join our team.Position Type: Full-timeLocation: Houston, TXWork Environment/Physical Demands: office/sedentaryTravel Requirements: Client assignmentEssential FunctionsEnsure effective and successful execution of projects across a diverse Oil & Gas Client base supporting natural gas and liquids, pump stations, compressor stations, metering skids, pigging facilities, and product storage.Performs engineering tasks, including, but not limited to, basic engineering calculations involving sizing, hydraulics, pressure drops, wall thickness, etc.Provide direction and oversight to design/drafting staff to develop design deliverables of high quality to issue for construction.Reviews vendor provided data, documentation, and drawingsEvaluates, selects, and applies appropriate standards, engineering methods, procedures, materials, and installation details.Ensures that design meets industry best practices, pertinent codes and standards, governing regulations, and client requirements.Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines on design deliverablesPrepares and/or assists with conceptual studies, designs, budgetary estimates, and constructability reviewsParticipate in Proposal Development to include confirmation of scope, staffing requirements, extended labor & expense cost estimates, and schedule milestones.Reviews and checks the work of other project team membersWorks effectively within established budgets and deadlinesIdentifies various issues within projects, leads the development of solutions, and ensures solutions are implementedConducts/participates in regular team meetings and ensure effective project communications occur and action items followed up onWork with Mapping Team to produce alignment drawings and provide coordination with regulatory agencies, ROW, environmental, and archeological personnel that are part of project execution.Follow Keystone project management procedures and ensure project record keeping is maintained in appropriate directories and work folders.Ensure timely review of invoice drafts and billing as per authorizations, including change orders.Promote a work environment that fosters good team communication, openness, teamwork, innovation, satisfaction, and safety.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSME Preferred) from ABET2-5 years of relevant experienceExperience and knowledge of regulatory codes and standards such as: ASME, API, AWWA, ASTM, and MSS specifications.Strong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, organized, and solution advocateApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.#J-18808-Ljbffr
