To create layers of defense that help keep us all safe.The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.As a Project Engineer and member of the NGI Weapon System Integration team, you will perform tasks related to the new integration the NGI All-Up-Round (AUR) into GMD.In this role, you will:Interface with the customer, define and execute the process for inputting, tracking, and closure of external action items / customer requestsTrack the team's weekly priorities and make sure the team is progressing to burn them downSupport Integration Lead and the team to work on stretch assignments as necessaryCoordinate with Cost Account Manager and Planning to track weekly IMS burndown for the team, to ensure the team is working to the baselineDefine, coordinate, and execute the process for ensuring all information received and provided to/from the government is readily available for program useSupport proposal efforts for the Element Level Engineering through Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and cost assessmentsThis position is available in "Rocket City" USA Huntsville, AL. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
